Skylight Cleaning
Overhead and hard-to-reach glass.
Skylights go longest between cleans of any glass on a building, for the simple reason that nobody can reach them. It is common to find ones that have not been touched since the roof went on — years of dust, pollen and organic growth bonded onto glass nobody has looked at closely from either side.
The result is not that a skylight looks dirty. It is that the room underneath quietly gets darker. It happens by degrees over years, so it never registers as a change, and people put the lights on at two in the afternoon in a space that was designed not to need them.
The job is mostly an access problem. Both faces need doing, the interior side usually means working over an occupied floor, and the frames and any drainage channels come with it. Tell us what is above the ceiling and we will tell you how it gets reached.
