Plenty of people hang their own lights for years before they call anyone. What ends it is usually the same detail: the lines worth lighting are the ones you cannot reach. The high run over the second story. The steep pitch above the garage. The stretch you can only get to by leaning out over a porch roof.
Your crew is on those same rooflines the rest of the year, clearing the gutters and washing the glass below them. Working at height is the ordinary condition of the job, not something anyone works up to once a year.
The difference between a good install and a bad one shows from the sidewalk. Runs that follow the roofline look deliberate. Runs that sag between two high points look like a job someone got tired of. We hang it to be looked at after dark, from the street — which is the only place it is ever judged from, including by you, pulling into your own driveway.

What's included in holiday lighting?
All four parts of it. We design the layout with you, install it, maintain it through the season — if a run goes out in December, that's on us, not on you and a ladder — and take it all down after the holidays. You don't climb anything, store anything, or untangle anything. That's the entire point of hiring it out.
Do I buy the lights, or do you provide them?
We do. You're not buying lights, storing lights, or replacing lights — we own the whole system. We supply commercial-grade product cut to fit your house, install it, maintain it through the season, take it down, and store it until next year. Nothing ends up in your garage in a tangle, and nothing sits in a box degrading for eleven months. That also means when a strand fails, replacing it is our problem and our cost, not a trip to the hardware store for you.
When should I book?
Earlier than you think. Installation season runs roughly from late October through early December and the calendar fills in order of who called first — by the second week of November, the good slots in most markets are gone. Booking early also means you pick your install date instead of taking what's left. Worry Free Plan members get scheduled ahead of the general calendar.
Can you install before Thanksgiving and leave them off?
Yes, and most people do. We install on a mild day in late October or November, you flip them on whenever you want, and they sit dark until then. Installing early has nothing to do with turning them on early — it's about getting the work done before the weather makes roof work miserable and slow.
What can you actually put lights on?
Rooflines, eaves, gables, peaks, and ridges; windows, columns, railings, and fences; trees, shrubs, and wraps on trunks; plus wreaths, garland, and walkway pieces. If you've seen it on a house, it's usually doable. We'll walk the property with you, talk through what's realistic for your rooflines and your budget, and confirm the design and the price before anything gets ordered or installed.
What happens if a section burns out mid-season?
You call, we come fix it, and it doesn't cost you anything. In season you'll hear back within 48 hours — the visit itself gets scheduled around safe weather, never around us. Upkeep is part of the service and the lights are ours: bulbs fail, wind pulls a clip loose, a squirrel does what squirrels do, and all of that is on us to sort out. You're not supposed to be on a ladder in December.
When do you take the lights down?
We set your take-down date when we install, so it's on the calendar before the lights go up — normally the first two weeks of January. We take everything with us, because the lights are ours, and there's nothing for you to coil, label, or find room for. Snow and ice move dates more than the calendar does, so if conditions are genuinely unsafe we'll reschedule with you rather than put a crew on an icy roof.
Will the clips damage my roof or gutters?
No. We use clips designed to hang from the shingle edge or the gutter lip without penetrating anything — no nails, no screws, no staples into your roof. The clips come off with the lights. That's a real difference from a DIY install, where staple guns and roofing nails are the usual approach and the holes stay in your shingles long after the lights come down.
